When left untreated, water damage can progress to a point of deterioration know as dry rot . Most people, and many contractors, do not understand the complexity behind the removal of dry rot or that it’s a living airborne organism that can easily spread throughout a structure and can extend into concealed area (underneath exterior siding, exterior and interior trims, nunhood products (drywall, flooring coverings, decking, etc.). As building structures are built with the intent of permanency, it takes a very experienced specialists to dismantle and reassemble the building structure impacted by water damage and/or dry rot. The longer water damage and it’s resulting dryrot remains untreated, the greater the risk for damage to extend further through the exterior and interior of a building’s structure which directly increases the complexity and costs of repairs. Morris Construction thoroughly understands the importance and complexity of water damage and dry rot repairs.
The failure to remove, or the improper removal of, a building’s structural component(s) damager by water intrusion or dry rot can also result in unnecessary secondary damages. Some secondary damages are not only detrimental to the building’s structural integrity but they can also be fatal to the people performing the work or in the work area should the building collapse due to not being properly supported. Morris Construction has the knowledge, the experience and the required speciality equipment for water damage and dry rot renovation and repair work.
